For those looking to joining the ministry, Indiana Bible College is probably the best choice for students compared to other bible colleges in Indiana. The school prides itself on its “Bible-based education”, and holds strong to that reputation. They feel that enrolling in Indiana Bible College will help students understand the Bible and its significance and role in everyday life.
Indiana Bible College also offers a One Year Bachelor’s program to those who have already received a bachelor’s degree from a secular institution. It’s an accelerated program which allows students to take upper-level courses as their main core of study. It’s a 38 credit hour degree and is completed in 2 semesters.
Indiana Bible College Campus Activities
As for activities on campus, students attend chapel services twice each week, and there begin to learn ministry skills. Everyone in the campus is very involved in these services, whether it be singing, performing in the church band, or assisting with the services themselves. The school also has what they call, “Reality Week”, in which all classes are cancelled, and the students spend the time praying and learning about evangelism. It ends with a large revival service on Sunday night. The students can also participate in outreach ministries during the school year.
Indiana Bible College Accreditation
With all that the school has to offer in terms of Biblical Studies and ministry programs, please keep in mind that the school has not yet applied for accreditation. This is because Indiana Bible College is an Apostolic Bible College. Per their website, “Government recognized religious accrediting agencies such as the Association for Biblical Higher Education (ABHE) and the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) which accredit undergraduate Bible colleges require Trinitarian statements of faith. Commendably, our Apostolic Bible colleges have refused to compromise the Oneness Doctrine for accreditation. If such agencies ceased requiring applicants to ascribe to Trinitarian doctrines, IBC would pursue accreditation through them, as would other Apostolic Bible colleges.”
However, Indiana Bible College is committed, as with many other bible colleges in Indiana, in a high-quality Bible-based education. Its mission is to prepare men and women for the Apostolic ministry, and with that in mind, Indiana Bible College is a wonderful school to attend.
