Service projects, mission trips, and volunteer activities abound, including yearly outreach trips to Korea to teach English; missions trips to the Amazon, the gently rolling steppe of Ukraine or the back-country of Africa; or Habitat for Humanity work projects organized out of the world’s first Habitat For Humanity Fellowship Program.

Sterling College offers 18 majors across 16 departments, as well as certification in the various educational fields. Sterling College grants Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degrees.
All freshmen are required to take four core courses:

Sterling College Online Degrees Sterling College Online, also known as e.Sterling, is all about Christian ministry. Sterling College Online offers degree programs that are equally demanding and rewarding as the traditional degree programs but offers the convenience and flexibility of learning at your own pace. Sterling College Online offers two bachelor completion degree programs:
- Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries (BCM)
- Bachelor of Arts in Religious and Philosophical Studies (BRPS)
