If you’re looking for a particular major when choosing a college, most likely Texas Christian University (TCU) has it. With about 88 majors in business, arts, education, and science, TCU gives students a lot to choose from, especially for those that are still declaring “undecided” as their major. Some of the more unique majors include Ranch Management, Education of Exceptional Children, and Military Science. TCU also offers Credit by Exam, where above-average students can earn academic credit for courses by taking an examination in that specific area of study.

Some of the majors offered through TCU’s divinity school include:

  • Master of Divinity
  • Master of Theological Studies
  • Master of Arts in Christian Service
  • Master of Theology
  • Doctor of Ministry
  • Doctor of Philosophy

Not only does Texas Christian University offer a variety of majors of study, the school prides itself on its campus life and athletics. Whether you’re cheering on their NCAA Division-I football team, the Horned Frogs, or participating in one of their over 200 student organizations, there is plenty for students to do on campus. TCU also has many fraternities and sororities for students to join and enforce a “no hazing” policy.

Residence Life at TCU is state of the art. Kitchens are in most of the halls, and TCU offers the best in phone and cable technology. Freshmen are required to have roommates, but upper classmen can enjoy the solitude of their own private room if they choose. Roommates are assigned after the students complete the FrogLife living preferences survey, so student “A” who likes to sleep early and wake up early is not paired with student “B” who prefers to start his day at 11pm. There are coed dorms, and students can have opposite genders visit their rooms with very reasonable hours, or even 24-hour visitation.

Texas Christian University offers a lot for their students academically and socially. Given the variety of majors, top of the line accommodations for students, and the enthusiasm in its extra-curricular activities, it’s easy to see why TCU is one of the top schools in the country!
